We all have seen either an Apple “Mac vs PC” ad or a Microsoft similar one. But all over the internet you can fin used created ads or parody of the ever long Mac Vs PC war.
I will said most of this content seems to be split about even on witch side the creator choses. But who does all this campaigns actually help? Apple? Microsoft? No One? Both?
In my opinion Microsoft is wasting its money in trying to fight Apple with a similar lined ads. At the end Apple is gaining the most exposure.
Like we all know most of the worlds computer runs on Windows. While I know that it maybe people out there that do not knows that Microsoft makes Windows. Most people does.
On the other hand. While virtually anyone will associate Apple with iPod and iPhone. A lot of them didn't even realized that Apple made computers as well.
So why Microsoft give Apple more free exposure? I think they should be focusing on their and only their on product. Comparing the difference between maybe Vista Basic & Home Premium.
On the other hand I believe Apple is right in attacking Microsoft because a lot of folks don’t actually know what the different it is. So it make sense to compare a PC vs a Mac.
I think Apple had saved a couple of millions in advertising by receiving so much exposure from user generated content using the Mac Vs PC scenarios and thanks to Microsoft for letting know in their ads that their is always an alternative to Windows even if it cost a premium.
